LOWES TOWER

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

 

In November 2018, Ram formed a 50/50 joint venture with Childress Klein Properties, a Charlotte-based office developer specializing in Class-A office properties to acquire ~2.2 acres of vacant land and surface parking lots in Charlotte, NC.  Located in the heart of South End, the site is adjacent to a Lynx light rail station and the popular pedestrian Rail Trail.  A lease was executed in June 2019 with Lowe’s Companies (NYSE:LOW) for ~358,000 square feet of office space for their Global Technology Center and thereafter construction commenced on a ~378,000 square foot, 23-story tower.

 

In August 2021, the ground floor retail/restaurant space (~20,000 sf) was sold to a private equity fund manager. In November 2021, the remainder of Lowe’s Tower was sold to a global alternative asset manager.
