ALEXANDER LIVING

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

Alexander Living was the first institutional quality urban apartment community in West Palm Beach to be launched after the global financial crisis.  The project is comprised of two components – an 85-unit loft apartment building known as Alexander Lofts and a 205-unit luxury apartment building known as The Alexander. The properties include public art by well-known artists Tristan Eaton, Danny Doya and Mikyoung Kim.

Ram acquired the property in 2012, including an ~86,000 square foot vacant historic office building (built in 1926 as the Southern Bell regional headquarters) and two surface parking lots. Ram completed an adaptive reuse renovation of the historic building in 2014, converting it into 85 loft apartments (Alexander Lofts).

Additionally, Ram obtained entitlements to develop a 20-story, 205-unit luxury apartment building on one of the surface lots.  In return Ram agreed to design, build, and dedicate an urban park on the other lot. The Alexander was completed in October 2017 in joint venture with Kolter. The project was sold in October 2018 to a NYSE-traded multifamily REIT.
