Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., March 10, 2008 – Ram, a leader in real estate development and acquisitions, today announced that Clayeux, a high-end European children’s boutique, has opened its first U.S. location at Midtown in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Located on Main Street in Midtown, Clayeux offers French brand baby and children’s clothing from birth to 12 years old. The company, which has 200 boutiques worldwide, is best known for its exquisite knit outfits and colorful artistic designs.

“Midtown is the perfect venue for us because we were looking for a cozy and intimate shopping location that enabled shoppers to stroll along the sidewalks and visit all the retail stores and restaurants without the hassle of driving,” said Sylvain Thibault, the owner of Clayeux. “In addition, Palm Beach offers us the high-end clientele that we are looking for. We are very excited about opening our new store and making Midtown our new home.”

Midtown is a village-like, mixed-use community with all the convenience and style of urban living. The project consists of 225 luxury condominiums, 97,000 square feet of high-end retail, restaurant and office space, a 500-seat cultural center and a 300-seat banquet hall. It is located on PGA Boulevard between I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, offering easy access to the Palm Beach International Airport, downtown West Palm Beach and the beaches. Completion of the Residences at Midtown is expected to occur within the next few weeks.

Cammi Goldberg, commercial leasing manager with Ram, handled the transaction.

Ram Realty negotiates deal for 11 Home Depot properties
March 5, 2008
Daily Business Review – Dealmakers
Dealmaker: Casey Cummings
The Deal: Cummings negotiated the purchase of 11 retail properties in Atlanta and Dallas by Palm Beach Gardens-based Ram Realty from Home Depot for $22 million.

Details: When Home Depot announced it was closing its landscape supply stores last September, Cummings approached the giant home improvement retailer on behalf of Ram and signed a purchase contract in December. The deal closed Jan. 31.

The 11 properties range in size from 4.5 acres to nine acres. Each site includes a 12,000 square-foot retail building.

Cummings toured all 11 sites, analyzed the development and disposition value of the properties and made a bid. Home Depot was pushing to close the deal by Jan. 31, the end of its fiscal year.

Ram is used to negotiating with sellers who want to close quickly, Cummings said. Ram plans to sell the six Dallas locations and two to four of the Atlanta locations. It will develop any unsold properties.

Background: Cummings is president of the 30-year-old Ram Realty, which acquires, develops and redevelops commercial, multi-family and mixed use real estate throughout the Southeast.
